Laundry on the Line

Today I offer two photos of laundry on the line, in Rhodes from Kim Hansen and in Buenos Aires from Delisa Myles. In the simple things, we’re the same all over the world.

Kim Hansen’s life work has been somatic education through dance, massage therapy, athletics, and the Feldenkrais Method. Her revolutionary acts of the 21st century include using a clothesline, growing food, making art, and lying on the floor to explore her relationship to gravity. Laundry hanging in nature always reminds me of prayer flags. I like to know we can all share our thoughts and intentions for peace and love, regardless of cultural colors, national uniforms, or language differences. It also reminds me of letting my freak flag fly…
