Neil Gaiman’s Commencement Address

Here’s the graduation speech I wish I’d heard thirty years ago–Neil Gaiman‘s address at the University of the Arts, 2012:

    Reminds me of Terry Pratchett’s commencement address (not surprising. I can’t seem to find the link now.)

    I remember that the former president of our college, who had many character flaws and retired in disgrace, did have some redeeming qualities. He did something really cool at commencement. Included with each diploma was a “license to fail”. But he would tell the students that it was only good for one repeat of each mistake: they had to make new mistakes each time.
